This page explains which personal data this website processes, why, and what rights you have. It applies to the website of Anāhata – The Path of Sacred Sound.
Who is responsible
George Attard, Żejtun, Malta. E-mail: gattard505@gmail.com
Visiting the website
When you open a page, the hosting provider Vercel Inc. (USA) processes technical data such as your IP address, the page requested and the time, so that the page can be delivered and protected against misuse. These server logs are kept only briefly. Vercel is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
This website sets no cookies for visitors, uses no analytics or tracking and shows no advertising. (The only cookie keeps George signed in on his own admin page.) Fonts, images and films are served from this website itself; no third-party services are contacted while you browse.
Booking a session
When you reserve a session, we process your name, your e-mail address, your phone number (so George can reach you if an e-mail does not arrive), the number of guests, the chosen date and time, and – if you choose to share it – what brings you. We use these details only to arrange, confirm, change or cancel your session and to prepare it for you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Your booking is stored as an event in George Attard’s Google Calendar, and the confirmation and any changes are sent from his Gmail account. Both services are provided by Google Ireland Limited; Google may also process data in the USA under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Your booking is kept for as long as it is needed for your session and for George’s records, and deleted on request.
Around your session you receive a reminder two days before, a short note on the day and a thank-you the day after. These e-mails belong to the booking and stop if you cancel.
Letters from George
If you tick “Keep me posted” when booking, or ask George to add you, we keep your name and e-mail address on a list for occasional letters about new dates and gatherings (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR – your consent). The list is a Google Sheet in George’s Google Drive (Google Ireland Limited). Every letter contains a link to unsubscribe; you can also simply reply. You are then marked as unsubscribed and receive no further letters. Your address stays on the list only until you unsubscribe; after that we keep just the note that you did, so that you are never added again by mistake – unless you sign up again yourself.
WhatsApp and phone
The “Ask George” links open WhatsApp, a service of WhatsApp Ireland Limited (Meta). Nothing is transmitted to WhatsApp until you follow such a link. Its own privacy policy applies from then on.
Your rights
You can ask at any time which of your data we hold, and have it corrected or deleted. You may also object to its processing or ask to receive it in a portable format. Simply write to gattard505@gmail.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority – in Malta the Office of the Information and Data Protection Commissioner (idpc.org.mt).
